Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U12B vs  Cheadle Hulme School
On: Saturday, 26 Jun 2021
Venue: at Home

Cheadle won the toss and decided to bat first with a strong start from their opening batsman Harry, who played every ball with respect and scored 39 (33) runs before falling with a wonderful delivery from Charlie, with Freddie being in a good position to take the catch. Cheadle batted out their 25 overs scoring 106 having lost 11 wickets. Again, boys were put into a position where bat on ball was the most emphasised focus of the match and this was demonstrated by the 167 runs scored from the 25 overs. A wonderful batting performance from Daniel (29), Beau (26), Zac (25), and Vishnu (17) put the game to bed after the 16th over, however, teachers decided to continue play until the 25 overs, so that all boys can get a chance to improve. Cheadle bowled really well and the U12's were tested, but they took the opportunity to be more selective on their shots and made sure that they rotated strike, playing good cricketing shots and scoring an abundance of well-deserved boundaries.

Well done to all involved!!
