Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U12B vs  The King's School, Macclesfield
On: Saturday, 22 May 2021
Venue: Away

A cold summer's day with exceptional cricket on display, proved to be a competitive fixture vs King's Macclesfield. MGS lost the toss and were put into bat first and this proved to be an outstanding batting performance from the U12 B's, they played sensibly and treated every ball with respect. Although, as originally planned, the fixture was meant to be played on grass, however due to poor weather conditions the game was played on the hockey pitch. This meant that if you play sensible shots it was more than likely to travel to the boundary. MGS managed to score 181 off 20 overs losing 4 wickets. H.Bird (16) M.Iyer (17) A.Kumar (25) D.Rarity (30) S.Parla (26) and C.Gawne (20) were the pick of the batsmans. Unfortunately, we could not finish the fixture due to a double booking, however, we bowled well in the first 10 overs as V. Seshhadri displayed a wonderful bowling performance with figures of 2 - 13 - 2. Well done to all involved!!
