Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School 2nd XV vs  Altrincham Grammar School for Boys
On: Saturday, 16 Nov 2019
Venue: at Home

You're only as good as your coaches and with Ollie Hill and Patrick Hetherington at the helm it just wasn't good enough. Alty scored first with a break down the middle and were 7 - 0 up in 10 minutes. Alty's defence was strong and their line speed and work at the breakdown proved too much for us. Frustratingly we allowed the same player to pick and go twice at the ruck and soon found ourselves 3 tries down. We finished on a high with a terrific score down the left hand side. Started off by Warren, most of the back line were involved and eventually James Morris ran showed some toe and ran away from the defence to score under the sticks.

Highlights of the game included Primrose's tackle (body shot) on Harry Cheetham and Will "The Chiropractor" Richardson's shot on their number 7.

Man of the match this week almost went to Primrose for a great defensive display on his first game back after injury but he was pipped at the last by Morris and his try of the season.
