Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School 2nd XV vs  The Grammar School at Leeds
On: Saturday, 07 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

With an U16s fixture at home as well as 1st and 2nd XV fixtures away it was great to get 23 boys turning out for our first game of the season.

Highlights:

A well worked try from us - going through the phases with some good attacking play and then going wide when we had numbers. We worked the ball well through the hands and Dobbs scored in the corner.

Will "The Chiropractor" Richardson's tackle on the GSAL 7 late in the 2nd half.

James Lynott opting to kick with his left foot to presumably get a better angle on the kick but skewing it badly into touch - "Did you opt for the left boot to get a better angle James?" - "I'm left footed Sir............"

Lowlights:

Richardson converting from wide out after being told by two members of the squad that "You'll never get it - I'll give you a tenner if you do......."

GSAL scoring 7 tries.

This week the Man of the Match goes to Morris (James) for a strong performance both in attack and defence at 13.
