Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U14A vs  Wilmslow High School
On: Thursday, 22 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Considering we went 2-0 down in this game after conceding sloppy goals, this was a very impressive comeback victory against an organised Wilmslow side. We really had to work for it and the boys kept playing good, flowing football despite the two goal deficit, and this saw us score two goals to bring the scores level by half time.

The second half saw us dominate long spells and go 3-2 ahead, and so a looped goal to give Wilmslow an equaliser in the last kick of normal time was hard to take, but we stayed calm and knew we were the better side going into ET. This became clear and our ability shone through. Nathan, either side of ET half time, played two inch perfect diagonal through balls to Ethan, whose pace and superb finishing ability was too much for Wilmslow to handle and we ran way as 5-3 winners to move into the 4th round of ESFA. We will have to avoid mistakes which cost us goals as we progress but there are lots of positive signs.
