Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U12A vs  Little Lever School
On: Wednesday, 14 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

On Wednesday afternoon MGS played Little Lever School from Bolton, in a Cup match. It was a very physical game with Little Lever School putting in some strong challenges. Thankfully their tactics did not work, as MGS scored two quick goals, both of which were finished by Isaac. As half time was approaching, James hit a fine volley into the back of the net.

At the beginning of the second half, multiple substitutions were made, as MGS were on the front foot. The defence stayed firm as Little Lever were attacking, trying to break through. MGS had a disallowed goal but that didn’t stop them, as Lucas curled the ball into the top corner a few minutes later. MGS were then given a penalty for a foul by Little Lever. Will stepped up, but hit the ball at the keeper. Luckily, he put in the rebound! Just before full time Hudson slotted the ball home, for yet another goal. MGS played well and deserved a 6-0 win.
Well played to Dylan for being awarded Man of the Match for a solid performance at the back. Overall a good win, as MGS proceed to the semi finals of the County Cup!
