Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U15A vs  Wilmslow High School
On: Saturday, 19 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

On Saturday 19th January MGS came up against a strong Wilmslow side who’d they’d previously been defeated by the past couple of years. Hopefully the boys would come out on top this time round.

The first half began the boys were off and they looked the better side. In the first 10 minutes or so they had a few chances early on hitting the target a couple of times. MGS looked the better side. During the first half the skipper took a knock and had to go off. Unfortunately within seconds after the substitute the away side went on the attack and scored after a diagonal ball over the top which was put away by their striker. Even though they conceded the first goal the boys kept battling in hope to get one back. Just before half time they conceded another and the half time score was MGS 0 Wilmslow 2.

At half time MGS made a few changes bringing back on Tyreece Ewing and Oli Chester going off with a back injury. The second half began and the boys were off again. MGS came out on top again in the second half comfortably passing the ball around the pitch. Wilmslow put the pressure on but the home side were able to deal with it well. MGS were all over the away side for all the second half creating plenty of chances but not being able to get one back against an excellent keeper. Even though MGS kept battling to till the end, they were unable to get a result.

The final score line was MGS 0-2 Wilmslow HS.
