Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U14A vs  Bolton School Boys Division
On: Saturday, 24 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Considering the fact that Sam W have to play in goal for the majority of the second half after Sam C's injury, this was a really pleasing draw and one which was so nearly a win. Bolton's last minute equaliser was probably fair on balance and their numbers 10 and 11 were very dangerous in the second half, but the boys were still understandably disappointed not to hold on. We had taken the lead after 30 seconds through an excellent left footed finish from Theo, but Bolton came back into the game well and we had to fight hard. Heading into the last fifteen it was 2-2, but then Jack Scott popped up at the back post following a well worked short corner to slot home and give us the lead. We did drop deeper and this put pressure on Sam who played really well in an unfamiliar position, but they scored a scramble to leave the game all square at the full time whistle.
