Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U12A vs  West Hill School
On: Wednesday, 26 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

On a gorgeous, sunny Wednesday afternoon MGS U12's played West Hill School. After a long warm-up, the game started, with some lovely skill from both teams, and high intensity. We started off rapidly, creating multiple opportunities that were nearly converted, except from some decent saves from the West Hill goalkeeper. The first goal was converted by Jasper when a lovely through ball was slid into him, only for him to slide it home. Isaac score the second to put us into a comfortable two-nil lead. We were put under pressure a couple of times but the back three in the first half of Jayden, James and Joe reassured that all was safe. We went ended the first half with a two- nil lead. Multiple substitutions were made as Charlie, Hudson, Finn, Dylan came on and Felix swapped with Will Murdock to go in goal.

The second half was difficult as West Hill tried every hard to stop MGS. But that was not to happen as we quickly made it 3-0, making our chance of winning more likely. We were on top trying to grind out a mistake or another goal, when a moment of magic inspired by the nimble Samee made it four nil. Dylan played a sharp ball into him, then after one touch, Samee sped forward with some class skills and whipped a luscious shot into the left hand corner. The game ended four nil despite an almost wonder goal from Isaac. Well played to West Hill but congratulations to Samee for a thoroughly deserved Man Of The Match.
