Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School Boys-U15A vs  West Hill School
On: Wednesday, 26 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

MGS went out on a sunny afternoon against a West Hill side who we had previously played. We started off strong, moving the ball well across the field. Both sides were matching each other with possession. At this point it was uncertain who would score the first goal. But unfortunately, West Hill was the first team to score, with a well struck goal. This knocked our confidence slightly but we were still battling on, determined to get the equaliser. Our momentum was building up but in the end the half time whistle blew, with the score 1-0 to west hill.

We came out strong in the second half and our hard work finally paid off when Aryan took a free kick which the keeper fumbled and the ball ended up in the back of the net. We a stroke of luck we were back in the game. But again, they managed to gat another goal to retain their lead. This was unfortunate. We tried to stay optimistic about the result, but our hard work and efforts did not seem to pay off, as they managed to score another two goals straight after each other. By this point it as hard to get back into the game with a lack of time remaining. So, when the final whistle blew, the game ended in an unlucky 4-1 loss for MGS. Hopefully we will do better next game against Rossall school
