Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School U13B vs  Lancaster Royal Grammar School
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

What a strange match! Despite getting absolutely thrashed by a very strong and talented Lancaster B/C side, MGS came off the pitch knowing that they had actually played well. Progress was clearly evident compared to earlier in the season and our tackle count was fantastic today... Thankfully, a huge improvement.

Joint man of the match, Hao Zhang, was superb at full back making some vital last ditch tackles, where as our other hero of the day was Sameer Khan, a fantastic display of aggressive wing play.

Zulqarnine Shahed and Shayaan Absar attacked with real intent, whilst Harry Budworth had a blinding game at scrum half. Daniel Tan continued his impressive improvement and reaped the reward of his positive commitment to training.

The score was irrelevant today, as what we have needed was a display full of effort, determination and defensive focus... and that's exactly what we got.

Many thanks to Lancaster for the way that they refereed and coached this game, it was very much appreciated.
