Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School U13B vs  Bolton School Boys Division
On: Saturday, 29 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

A frustrating first half where MGS took the ball into contact far too often meant that we struggled to put phases together and play to our strengths. Bolton were playing well and at times we struggled.

After Mr Sutton's excellent half-time team-talk, we started to play a more expansive game and gained some momentum. Will Jump was cantering at times and scored a pleasing try, whilst MVP Sam Simmonds was conducting things and getting the ball wide.

With more and more possession and territory, MGS started to believe in themselves which led to some fantastic tries. Sam Simmonds scored a fabulous hat-trick and Oliver King secured the win towards the final whistle.

Great progress, pleasing win... let's work hard in training and on our fitness throughout the whole week.

Score: 25 - 10
Tries: King, Jump, Simmonds (3)
MVP(s): Sam Simmonds
