Match Report
The Manchester Grammar School U13A vs  Lymm High School
On: Saturday, 08 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

It was an enjoyable and competitive game on a narrow pitch at Lymm rugby club. Two good teams who tried to play rugby the right way and get the ball wide whenever possible. We needed to start well, as this was a game that MGS could definitely lose if our leaky defence let us down.

It was great to see double try scorer Captain Kit Sanders back after injury and also try scorer Ethan Bass back for his second match of rugby, what great potential he has!!

Excellent MGS tackling kept Lymm High at bay and Laurie Lee led the way with some determined work in the pack. The scrummaging was once again a highlight, with Vice-Captain Tom Smith doing a great job, binding tight and striking well at hooker.

Harris Paterson has shown a real determination to improve his tackling this season and that was a vital part of our win today. He ended up being joint man of the match with Josh Oluwadare who was focussed and aggressive throughout the match.

Lymm played well but thankfully our defence stayed on top and we managed to get another win under our belts. I have been impressed with the U13s progress so far this season and we'll see how we do next week against a tough and skillful St Ambrose side.
